Tespire has received funding from Alternative Bank to support the expansion of its health research initiative, Asibiti.
The investment follows a global Memorandum of Understanding signed by both parties in 2024, marking a strategic effort to improve systems in Nigeria’s education and healthcare sectors.
Asibiti is designed to tackle persistent inefficiencies within the Nigerian health system, particularly in how hospitals manage infrastructure and operations.
Initial pilot programs conducted in public hospitals across Niger State showed a strong interest from medical personnel and administrators who are eager for change.
The fresh injection of capital will support operational improvements in hospitals by enabling a more flexible infrastructure rollout.
This includes the deployment of the “Asibiti Box”, a modular unit from Tespire that integrates with hospital management systems and comes equipped with internet connectivity.
Tespire plans to extend the initiative beyond public hospitals, with private healthcare facilities as the next phase of expansion. A new feature tailored for this rollout is in development.
This kind of work reflects a broader trend of homegrown innovation addressing structural gaps in public health. While funding and technology are only part of the puzzle, Tespire’s practical, system-level approach stands out in a sector where scalable models remain in short supply.
