Recently a viewer of Tech Trends on Channels TV accosted me saying congratulations with a broad smile and I was rather taken aback. Yes, I know that we are doing everything humanly possible to make the show top notch and the feedback has been positive, but a nomination for an award was least expected.

I, therefore, inquired for more details – what kind of award, by who, when, what was the nomination process like, who are the brains behind it? I asked the guy almost a dozen questions at the same time and he said to me, just Google the award details.

I eventually Googled and found the Nigerian Broadcasters Merit Award Website and saw the Tech Trends (Channels TV) nomination which is under Best Technology Programme (Viewer’s Choice).

I am not exactly desperate for the show to win awards because Channels TV is already a multi-award winning television station which is adequate. What I am most joyous about is the fact that people are watching and are happy with the value we bring to the market place.

This nomination by the Nigerian Broadcasters Merit Awards (NBMA) lays credence to that fact.

Our goal remains to create one of the best Tech TV shows in the world and we are committed to improving daily – so help us God!

What more can I say? Keep watching Tech Trends on Channels Television!
