Blockchain offers a wealth of resources for emerging economies – Adedeji Owonibi

Blockbuild a fast-growing blockchain media platform is hosting The Converge, a quarterly Blockchain and Crypto meetup.

The Converge is set to hold on Monday, July 19, 2021, by 11 a.m (WAT). The virtual event will focus on two topics which are: Understanding the Blockchain Revolution and Crypto Currencies and Africa’s Rapid Development.

The event holding via Zoom will see a virtual gathering of blockchain and cryptocurrency advocates, enthusiasts, users discuss the technology.

The Converge Meetup aims to expose the ongoing innovations in the ecosystem and it is supported by SIBAN (Stakeholders in Blockchain Technology Association of Nigeria) and BNUG (Blockchain Nigeria User Group).

The virtual event will see a keynote address and a panel session.

Meet the speakers for the Converge Blockchain Meetup:

Chuta Chimezie (Nigeria)

Chuta is the Founder and Coordinator of Blockchain Nigeria User Group. He is also the Lead Organizer of Drupal Nigeria User Group community.

He is the author of “Seizing Opportunities in Blockchain and Digital Currency Revolution: A Handbook for Enthusiasts.”, while another of his book, “The Building Blocks of Blockchain StartUP Entrepreneurs” is work in progress.

Chuta is a well known member of both the Nigerian and global blockchain community. He has been an open-source advocate and an evangelist for 9 years.

Lavina Ramkissoon (South Africa)

Lavina has a blended spread in multi technologies. She is into Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, applied Blockchain to mention a few.

Her advocacy for applied blockchain has made her a leading female figure in technology. She is also an African Fintech Network AFN ambassador.

Lavina is the Co-author of ‘Believer in humanities with blockchain being the technology and cryptos are first mainstream manifestation of its potential

Obinna Iwuno (Nigeria)

Obinna is the Founder of The Crypto Bootcamp, he is also a blockchain educator and crypto analyst.

He is the Executive Secretary of  SiBAN

Adedeji Owonibi (Nigeria)

Adedeji is the Founder and COO at Convexity. He is a Blockchain Solutions Advocate with sound knowledge of cryptocurrencies and the workings of both public and enterprise blockchain solutions.

His other areas of expertise include financial forensic analysis, cryptocurrency intelligence and AML to mention a few.

Muthoni Njogu (Kenya)

Muthoni is the Managing Partner at Njogu & Associates Advocates. She is a Blockchain Consultant Lawyer

Ugochukwu Aronu (Nigeria)

Ugochukwu is the Founder and CEO at Xend Finance. He believes that to make a difference in the world, Africans have to be creators of technology rather than consumers of it.
