The Lagos Blockchain Week, organized by the Nigeria Blockchain Week, is an all-in-one encompassing program designed to unite the vibrant and varied community centred around blockchain interoperability and cryptocurrency technologies, is set to be held at the Radisson Blue Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos in the second week of June 2024.
Taking place from the 10th to the 15th of June, the 6-day long event themed, “The Blockchain Interoperability and AI: Powering Africa’s Digital Transformation” will unlock the potential of blockchain interoperability.
The first 5 days of the event are a hackathon that would gather a community of web3 developers hacking for a pool of prizes worth $20,000.
Some of the activities lined up for the 6-day event include:
Day One: The Crypto 101 Conference is the focus of June 10, where participants will be treated to an introduction to Bitcoin and Blockchain concepts, Building a crypto portfolio, a Beginner’s guide to cryptocurrencies/understanding DeFi protocols and more.
There will be a panel session on “Regulatory Compliance in Crypto/Crypto Taxation Workshop” and a workshop on Security Tokens and Tokenization.
Day Two: On June 11, the Pitch/VC fund day, participants will converge for a Creator Expo where there will be a workshop on Virtual Reality (VR) Creation, a masterclass on
NFT Artistry, a boot camp on Metaverse Building e.t.c
Day Three: This day, June 12, is all about AI, participants will learn about Integrating AI with Blockchain, AI-Driven Smart Contracts, Blockchain Interoperability with AI Platforms, AI-Driven Tokenomics
Day Four: On June 13, another practical hands-on session on the use of IPFS for file storage and retrieval, integrating Swarm for decentralized storage and a workshop on developing applications that utilize Filecoin for distributed storage
Day Five: This is the day for the Web3 BuilDers workshop. There will be a Polkadot Parachain Development Workshop, Hermez Layer 2: A Practical Workshop on zk-rollups and Loopring Protocol: A Practical Workshop on zkRollup Exchange
Day Six: The last day of the Lagos Blockchain Week is a summit for Web3 BuilDers, Participants will take part in Advanced Smart Contract Development on Ethereum, Analyzing Data Trends with The Graph, Building Decentralized Applications (DApps) with FVM, Rust Programming for Solana Smart Contracts and so on.
