Chinese multinational and smartphone maker, Huawei Technologies in partnership Orange Culture unveiled its latest smartphone Huawei GR5 Mini, with the new generation fingerprint technology.

Huawei GR5 Mini smartphone features new generation fingerprint technology has been ‎improved 100% over the first generation, a sensor that performs in 0.5 seconds and has 360-degree readability, builds on Huawei’s success in delivering powerful high-end smartphones with a high level of quality.

Huawei GR5 Mini has an 8MP front camera with high chromatic resolution, 4P lens array and a 77-degree wide angle visual range which takes sharp looking selfies and also allows selfie-lovers to capture more people in the shot.

The rear-facing 13MP camera features an f2.0 aperture, 78-degree wide angle visual range, 5P Aspheric lens array with a blue glass filter to improve photo quality, and professional mode for taking pictures with parameters comparable to that of an SLR‎ camera.

In his presentation, Brand Pan, Managing Director, Consumer Business, Huawei Nigeria said the firm is no longer a Chinese firm and with the unveil of GR5 Mini smartphone the company aims to become the number one Android smartphone maker in the world.

He explained that Huawei understands what it takes to break through the global market, noting that the company has invested lots of money in Research and Development. Huawei has integrated some distinctive features that cannot be found in any other device globally, he added.

According to Leo Stan, Manager, Technology Distribution Limited, he said that Huawei will always get the needed support from Technology Distribution Limited would drive growth and sustain the business going forward.
“Technology Distribution Limited only identifies with a top technology company in the world. That is why we have identified with Huawei Nigeria.

We have the financial muscle to transact with a company like Huawei. If Huawei can be the number one smartphone company in China, they are the number one in the world. China is a highly intensified and research driven country, he said.

Commenting on the need for Nigeria to deepen its effort towards technology, Leo said he had for long foresaw the vision and potentials in technology, stating that anybody who ventures into technology has a bright future.

“In those days, it was oil business, but now technology has taken over, and I had envisaged that years back. Distribution Technology Limited became the first technically distribution in Nigeria. I was the first person that introduced Lenovo, Apple, and Microsoft to Nigeria. I encourage Huawei because they have quality products, and they will surely get the needed support, he added.
