The latest Huawei smartphone, Ascend Mate7, is now available in Nigeria. The new phablet device has been launched in Nigeria, at Huawei company office in Lagos.

Ascend mate7 has an octa-core architecture, single touch fingerprint technology, 6-inch screen with FHD display and LTE Cat6 connectivity. The LTE Cat6 connectivity has a downloading speed of 300mps, which makes it able to download HD movies in less than 30 seconds.

Stressing on the phones features, during its launch at Huawei’s company office in Lagos, Mr. Olaonipekun Okunowo, country marketing manager, said that, the phone has improved power efficiency, big screen and a superior single touch technology.

Emphasizing on battery efficiency, Mr. Olaonipekun Okunowo said, “Ascend Mate7 saves up to 50% of the battery by automatically using smaller A7 cores to power standard apps that consumers use at least 80% of the time, and kicking in the larger A15 during high performance use such as gaming.” He further stated that, the phone runs on high density 410mAh Li-Polymer battery.

During its launch Mr. Yang Fufu, country manager of Huawei Nigeria, said that, the phone is the product of the 10% annual revenue on research and development.
Still speaking at Ascend Mate7’s launch, Mr. Olaonipekun Okunowo said that the phone has a higher 508PPI ratio for enhanced reader accuracy, with an 80% faster swiping recognition option compared to other devices which have a slower swiping recognition option, as far as unlocking the phone is concerned. The higher 508PPI ratio allows for an enhanced reader accuracy when swiping even with wet finger or under rain conditions.
Commenting on the phones security feature, the country marketing manager said, “ARM trustZone also stores encrypted data of fingerprint within the chipset for better protection by SecureOs, and prevents direct access by third parties.”

Ascend Mate7 comes with exclusive power saving technology, an inner structure made from strong aluminum, EMUI 3.0 and it measures 9.61mm × 9.61mm.
