Technology now allows you to get artistic with photography without having to punch holes in your bank account. Affordable digital cameras are especially ideal for individuals trying out photography for the first time. Instead of buying old models, you could try out some of the new designs described here. For less than N40,000, the camera, you will get, will have decent features and its capabilities will not disappoint you.

The Canon PowerShot ELPH 330 HS

The ELPH series comes with some advanced capabilities including the HS (High Sensitivity). The ELPH 300 is a quality point-and-shoot camera capable of shooting up to 6.2 fps at 12.2 Megapixels. Available in silver black, or pink, it comes with 3.0-inch LCD screen, 10X optical zoom and full 1080p HD recording for videos.

GE X2600

This is an ultra-zoom camera with a 26X zoom lens which is not common for cameras in this price range. The image quality of GE X2600 is also better than that of other cameras in this price range. It, however, has slow response time with clearly evident shot-to-shot delays and shutter lag. It also lacks such features as Wi-Fi and high-resolution LCD.

Nikon Coolpix S9300

Thin, stylish and impressive describe the Coolpix S9300. It has an impressive 18X optical zoom, 16 Megapixel COMS image sensor, full 1080p HD video, a 3.0inch high-resolution LCD and inbuilt GPS. You can have it as black, blue, red or silver depending on your location.

Samsung MV800

Dual LCD is one of the impressive features of the Samsung MV800.  Samsung added a flip LCD on this camera. The LCD can flip till it is over the top panel of the camera for easy selfies or self-portraits. The LCD is additionally touch-enabled. The performance of the camera is however reduced in low light.
