Through search engine optimization, you will increase the discernibility of your blog in the eyes of search engines like Google. Search engines like Google usually send spiders called BOTS or simply web robots to scan your site or blog. The information they collect will tell the search engine whether or not your blog or page is relevant or not.

Getting Found

Essentially, therefore, SEO will help you be easily found by visitors. However, there are billions of websites online, some offering the same content as you. This begs the question; how do you get found easily on all search engines? The answer really is no rocket science. All you need is proper keyword research.

Keyword Research

Proper keyword research will not only get you the right terms to target with SEO, but you will learn about what your customers want. In your quest to increase traffic to your website pages, therefore, you will be targeting the right and precise visitors. Many have been able to make projections into future market trends and shift in demands through keyword research.

Google’s Keyword Planner

Google, in all goodness of its heart, has provided us a tool that can provide you invaluable knowledge on keywords that will help you create blogs that will easily be picked by search engines. I am talking of the glorious Google’s keyword planner.

Before the keyword planner, there was Google keyword tool and Ad Words Traffic Estimator. The two were then combined to come up with keyword planner. Let us go through how you can utilize the keyword planner in your SEO research.

Using Keyword Planner to Brainstorm Blog Topics

Every keyword research for blog topics starts with a brainstorm list. This often is a list of words or phrases that you think will best describe your blog and attract visitors. Once you have this list you can then use keyword planner to decide the keywords that would make excellent topics for your blog. How do you do that?

Search For Keyword Ideas

Google’s keyword planner has an option for searching keywords and Ad Group ideas. Clicking on this option will offer you an excellent workbench for brainstorming on words and phrases for your blog topic. Here you either type a word for your topic, open landing paper on your blog or search from myriads of pre-set keyword categories.

Filtering Keywords From Your Plan

The superior filtering capabilities of the keyword planner will offer you an excellent opportunity to pick topic ideas based on your preference for search volume, cost per click, and advertiser’s competition among other factors.

Set The Target Parameter

The key word planner will help you come up with topics that are relevant for your blog. You can customize and brainstorm topics based on performance indices and stats that are relevant to you blog campaign.

Reviewing Your Plan

Once you have your brainstorm list ready, the keyword planner will be able to provide you with daily estimates on average blog position, impression, clicks and cost based on information that give to Google.
