Comments on techsmart.ng has been on a rise since the implementation of certain strategies which frequent community members are already aware of, because the truth is that it is not pleasant to have a blog like ours that is rich in high quality content such as tech tips, apps and how to go about using the various tech gadgets and devices, yet having to still cajole readers to leave comments. Well, that is part of the challenge of living in a highly distracted 21st century world, so we have to live with it.

Before our New Strategies

The techwithcfa.com blog, before it was re-branded as techsmart.ng, also had its own fair share of scarcity of comments – it was more or less a tug of war. As at today, we have had over 1,000 posts published and the total comments, so far, are just about half of that, which we feel is far below expectation.

Well, our intention for this re-branded techsmart.ng is for it to be a community, and not just an ordinary one, but a highly engaged community, which is why we have introduced a number of systems and strategies to keep the excitement burning for a long time.

One thing we want to assure you of is that, beyond the regular giveaways that we have been making, we will find a way to reward the commentator that comes top every month based on the ranking on the beautiful tool that you can see on the sidebar, the Rafflecopter. As at the time of writing this piece, Pius Osayande leads while others follow.

One to Five words Comments such as “Nice” “Well done” “Cool” “Keep it up” “Awesome” “Fantastic” “Great” are welcomed but cannot win any gift. ONLY QUALITY COMMENTS will be considered!!!

How the tool works

Top Comments WidgetEach month, the 5 most active commentators will be listed and ranked from the most, to the least. It does not just stop there, the higher the rank, the more visible the name appears, as can be seen with Pius Osayande’s name while the lower the rank, the less visible their name will appear on the ranking widget.

If you will like your name to be visible and your profile and website to get maximum exposure, then you have to make more comments so as to lead like Pius.

As you can see, the overall leader gets a medal next to his/her name at the top of the list for the highest amount of visibility and prestige throughout the techsmart.ng community and beyond.
It has a monthly cycle, so it gives everyone interested a fair chance to compete!

Are there any rewards?

Yes, there will be a sort of reward for the top commentator for each month. We will, however, not be specific so as not to put too much burden on us because in the scheme of things, this is more or less at the tertiary level.

  • Tech Trends Giveaway is Primary!
  • Techsmart.ng Giveaway is Secondary!!

With that said, the highest commentator still gets a reward from the techsmart.ng team as long as the comments are considered good enough by the team.

Keep commenting folks!
