Businesses have faced numerous challenges due to the Covid-19 pandemic and trying to find their balance in the new reality, there is a pressing need for organizations to fully adopt digital transformation.

Digital Technology opens the door for competitive advantage, attainment of new frontiers and longevity in sustainability and profitability.

Managing Director of SystemSpecs, John Obaro, brought this to light while delivering his keynote address to a cross-section of business leaders around Nigeria at the opening of the two day virtual Education Programme organized by Financial Institutions Training Centre (FITC) a frontline training institute,

Provider of Remita, HumanManager and Paylink – SystemSpecs serves as an umbrella to a number of the most innovative financial and human capital technology solutions and services from Nigeria to other parts of Africa and the world.

Speaking at the event, John Obaro, represented by SystemSpecs‘s Executive Director in charge of Public Sector and Special Projects, Demola Igbalajobi said:

“Businesses must innovate around the challenges that confront the world today while also leveraging the limitless opportunities that the future holds.

The capability of organizations to adopt technology to enhance different aspects of their operations for optimal productivity and sustained growth will determine the extent of their success”.

Pointing out the implementation of digital transformation strategies is no longer optional but currently a necessity for businesses.

Obaro further commented on why it is necessary in having clearly stated objectives and favorable outcomes of such exercise. Investment in the enhancement or growth of processes, people, tools and products as well as ensure they are abiding with the laws of the land.

“Transformations do not happen on a platter; they require deliberate actions taken in the face of restricting regulations, competing priorities, non-committal stakeholders and a dearth of resources like funds and expertise”, Obaro stressed.

Businesses should adopt forward-thinking and end-to-end approaches to thrive in the future economy.

However, Obaro clearly punched on the need for organisational cultures which support innovation because a non-progressive organisational culture will shorten or kill any innovative strategy.

The FITC event helped businesses be more intentional about advancement in performance through embracing digital technologies, quality and filled business models and highly innovative workforce, exposure to innovative tools, skills, trends and techniques to thrive in a highly competitive world.

FITC is known to provide performance enhancement solutions via advisory and services focused on research.
