Apart from having a profitable business, you should concentrate on having an effective and scalable brand identity as a business owner is well.

This part of the business is just as important as every other aspect of a business.

There are guidelines to having an effective and scalable brand identity. The important guidelines would be discussed here.

The identity/personality of your brand is different from the brand owner and should get perceived by the audience as different.

This is the professionalism of your business.

Some of the guidelines are discussed below:

Know your Target Audience

The easiest way to make sure you are speaking the right language during discussions with your target audience is, to learn who you are talking to.

Know your audience, their preferences and their emotions.

Know your Unique Selling Point (USP)

Unique Selling Point, (USP), is more than just the product you sell; it is the key element that sets you apart from your competitors.

Do your best to demonstrate it, during conversations with your audience and pay attention to how they respond.

Define your brand personality

Be authentic and honest, have conversations, create engagements with your audience, transform customers to advocates, for your brand and products.

Focus on exceptional customer experiences, be open and transparent to build trust with your audience.

How to transform your audience to advocates? First, you should know that, business is not just to solve problems, but to empower promoters.

Understand that you have the Customer audience and the Non-customer audience.

Your aim is to make these two categories of audience; your brand promoters, or cheerleaders.

You can achieve the above, by getting attention. Make good use of the digital space, to gain attention from both categories of audience.

Always be frequent, on whatever social platform your brand, or business is, on the digital space.

Create engagements and give a lot of ‘freebies’, (giveaways), does not necessarily have to get discounted prices on products or product giveaways.

Turn your platform into a marketing tool, for your pitch to your Target Audience.

A brand always needs a “human side” to connect, on an emotional level, with its Target Audience.

A brand should always have a tone/voice of its own. The brand voice is what the brand speaks, e.g., Nike – Just do it!

The voice of your brand should be recognizable, without the brand name and should be able to ring a bell to your audience, during a regular day.

With these, you would definitely achieve having an effective and scalable brand identity in the market.
