Across the world, some business organisations are, already, charting out ways, on how to, effectively and efficiently, reopen their businesses, after months of inactivity, due to the lockdown, caused, by the coronavirus.
One such is, the giant tech company, Apple. Apple has, recently, released a well-detailed plan, on how it will reopen its stores, across the world, for business. Apple is set, to follow an approach, which places high emphasis, on hygiene and health.
This detailed reopening plan was explained, by Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Retail and People, in a letter, which was, specifically, meant for customers consumption.
The letter was published on Apple’s website, and it contains everything that Apple intends to do and achieve, in order to ensure that, both their staff and customers are safe and well protected, from the contagious novel coronavirus.
One thing to note, O’Brien said, is that, for any store to be open, it has to be supported, by generated data. “We look at every available piece of data — including local cases, near and long-term trends and guidance, from national and local health officials. These are not decisions we rush into”, stressed Brien.
Brien, also, stated that, if for any reason, the data shows otherwise, then the store will not be opened and if it opens and the data shows that, there is a high risk, it will be, swiftly, closed.
Apple will, also, ensure that, periodic and strict, deep cleaning, will be carried out daily, in each of the stores and fewer customers, will be allowed into the store at a time, which paves the way, for one-on-one customer service.
Customers with no face shield, or nose mask, will not be allowed, into the store, just as Apple has said that, all its workers have now been mandated, to put on, either, a face shield, or a nose mask, (and can, even, choose to use both, at once, if they so wish).
Checks will be carried out, before entering the store buildings, likewise, questions pertaining to cough and fever, will be asked, in order to, efficiently, reduce the risk of an infected person, visiting the store.
