Pictures are visual representations of people, animals, objects or scenes.

They give a story of growth and advancements, unfortunately, these days, pictures now tell lies, due to the modern photo editing applications.

These apps have so far been the tools used in doctoring pictures and transforming them from their original states to surreal states. These supposedly regular applications have made and marred lots of people.

Have you ever had that embarrassing moment where you have had to meet up with someone for the first time, and you’ve gotten to see their pictures previously?

Thankfully the social media gets us doing that once in a while. Imagine the disappointment of thinking your mind was playing tricks on you, and the face you were presently viewing was not the actual face you had seen in photographs.

Pictures now produce beauty queens and handsome kings as no one wants to be called ugly on social media, so these photos go through series of editing, features can now be enhanced and modified to suit taste.

A fat person can be made slim, and a hipless person can be given some hip enhancements giving a misrepresentation of the person’s real look.

Such deceit! So when next you hold on to a photograph or see a picture on the Internet, kindly do a proper scrutiny just in case an important decision needs to be taken.

This is just one of the many advancements technology has brought to us, and we are very grateful, or not.
