Recently, I stumbled on a report that put forward an argument that loneliness is something most old people have to grapple with, especially, if they have health challenges.

Below are 3 mobile apps that can simply assist the elderly in different ways:

1. Medication Reminder App- Medisafe App

Many people, especially, the elderly people, grapple with having to take medication as they usually fails to take those drugs at the prescribed time. This is certainly not a good habit, if you ask any doctor. It is for this and other reasons, that we think having a Medication Reminder app might be helpful.
That said, you can go check out Medisafe, which is a free app that ensures that you remember to take your medications and keeps track of blood pressure and glucose. With a few simple steps, you can add a medication, get reminders and receive constant updates of health progress.

2. Crosswords App

Not every young person today will appreciate this, but I remember back in the days, my siblings and I waited frantically for dad to return, so we can cut out the crosswords from the newspaper in order to fill it up. Yes, I know things happen a lot differently today, but this is one game quite a number of elderly people will appreciate. It might, therefore, be a good idea to have one installed for the elderly because, it is going to keep their brains pretty active.

3. Magnifying Glass App

One challenge we know that a number of elderly folks have to deal with, is the gradual loss of vision which comes with aging. The Magnifying Glass app should make it easy for them to read tiny texts or find something that is pretty small. If you think this is interesting, go check out Magnificent Magnifier hd for Android or Magnifying Glass for Apple.

Do these for the elderly, so that they too will enjoy the products of tech innovation.
