I am of the opinion that Nigeria is in a very unique position in today’s digital revolution, but that is if she realises that and makes the most of all opportunities.
In all my researches, studies, travels and quest to learn more about technological advancements in various parts of the world, I have come to realise that it is indeed possible to leapfrog tremendously. One of the most fascinating stories you may probably be aware of is that of the ‘insane’ and super daring Elon Musk, founder of Tesla; he’s one guy I’d have a chat with some day. Would it not be a fascinating experience? Well, this is how important the Germans regard technology and that is because they clearly do not want to lose out to fast-rising economies, particularly those in Asia.
Massive investments in infrastructure
There are no two ways about it. If you want to play in the advanced digital game of tomorrow, then you have to start making massive investments in the infrastructure that will support the digital economy that we are talking about here.
The Germans are not just talking about it and giving long speeches; they are actually doing something about it. One of the things I find most fascinating is that they created a full-fledged digital department which is — Finish Reading on the Punch Website
