A. Unlike professional hacking where malicious codes and backdoors are created to infiltrate computer networks, social media hacking is simple and does not take much technical skill to execute. Most experts describe it as a psychological game in which the perpetrator deceives the victim into telling him or her their login details.
Social media hacking may also take the form of social engineering. This includes phishing and other situations where the perpetrator exploits weak links in the information security system. The victim may pose as an angry executive who calls the social network administrators claiming to have lost the password to a particular account. In such a scenario, the hacker may leverage on the information you give on your profile page to fake your identity and, thus, gain access to the information he wants.
Avoiding a hacking incidence only require awareness. If you know how hackers operate, you will know how not to get hacked.
