Tech Trends on Channels Television this past Monday brought you exclusive stories and features that matter from the world of technology. As we try to ensure a smarter generation in future, this week’s interview segment explored the possibility of mobile technology disrupting learning in Nigeria in a positive way.

Innovation and inspiration are not confined to a particular age or clime. On the News segment of Tech Trend, it was reported that two Nigerian teenage brothers have worked on and built their own mobile web browser, the Crocodile Browser. The youngsters used free online resources to come up with a browser that works well even with the low-end phones that are common in Africa.

In foreign tech news, Swiss postal services have been experimenting with postal deliveries via drones. From the Far East, China’s International Robot Show was put into perspective. All details of these news stories can be viewed here.

On the Tech Tips segment, viewers were treated to tried and tested tips on how to make money online. Since millions of people have been making a living from online engagements, you too need to watch this episode to learn how you can make an income online.

On the Gadget Review segment, the Sony Cyber-Shot RX100 Mark III compact camera was analyzed. The show explained why this camera is superior to most of its competitors as well as some of its shortcomings. The Mobile App of The Week featured Smart AppLock; an app that enhances the privacy and security of your device by restricting unauthorized access to apps on the device.

Mobile technology is crucial to bridging the ever-widening knowledge gap in Nigeria. This much was stated by Babatunde Sobowale, the Head of Projects at Orange Apple Technologies on the Guest Interview segment, as he discussed how Mobile Technology disrupts learning.

He began by describing the level of education in Nigeria and then looking at E-learning trends in the country. He then assessed how technology acts as a bridge for students, places, and learning processes. The inevitability of positive disruptions technology can cause was also stated by him, although he pointed out that students might be distracted by other online content.

On the Tech Clinic segment, answers to how children can learn codes and also why your old iPads still runs slow even after upgrading to the latest iOS. All the details are here.
