The possibilities of technology remain endless as it has transformed economies and industries across the world, creating new frontiers and as such Nigeria must set its priorities right by investing in the country’s most important resource, her people.

This will put her in a position to favorably compete in the ranks of nations while generating opportunities for her large population.

This assertion was made by Deremi Atanda, Executive Director at SystemSpecs, Africa’s frontier provider of innovative financial and human capital technology solutions and services, during the Nigeria Digital Economy Summit (NDES) second edition which was held virtually.

Speaking on the necessity of developing local talents in advancing the growth of a digital economy, Atanda said:

“The quality of the workforce of any organization is a major determinant of the value such an institution is capable of providing.

As such, it is non-negotiable for all stakeholders to commit to capacity development to fully harness our people’s potential.”

The executive director noted that the recent wave of Nigeria’s talent exiting the country isn’t something new stating that SystemSpecs already experienced a fair share of the exit when it lost some of the company’s best talent to the West.

Atanda explained that innovation is a never-ending process while acknowledging the need to constantly re-equip the country’s talent base to secure them for advancing Nigeria’s technology ecosystem.

It isn’t just enough for the government to invest in developing human capacity, organisations likewise ought to ensure that they meet up with their corporate objectives in giving their talents all they require.

One of SystemSpecs product, the HumanManager, can assist organizations in meeting some of these company goals as it has proven to be the most successful human resource management solutions in Africa.
