All the previous game consoles could do some awesome things. For instance, PS1 had the capability to play CDs. PS2 could play DVDs, while PS3 could also play Blu-Ray DVDs. How about your PS4, what can you do with it.

PS4 is the latest console form the Sony Company. You could use it to do awesome because it has good features. Most of the tricks the PS4 can do are not known by many users. However, let me highlight most of the things you can do with it.

Let’s get started!

1. Back up games to the cloud

Well, this is the awesome thing you can do with your console. While you may save your games to a USB drive, the safest and reliable means of back up is to save to the cloud.

Note that a USB drive can get affected by viruses thus making you lose your games. But when you save your games to the cloud, you are rest assure your games are safe.

Unless you are prepared to lose your whole of games then you should consider saving to the cloud. It’s easy to do that. Go to “Settings” then “Application Saved Management” set it to upload your games to the cloud.

2. Use a phone charger to recharge your Dualshock 4

Although here you will have to ensure the phone charger is capable of charging your Dualshock 4. It’s still a cool thing you can do with your PS4.

Note that this does not work for all phone chargers. However, this method will require you to stay next to your PS4 since the cables are not long enough.

3. Your PS4 can help to charge your phone

Since the PS4 can charge your Dualshock 4 with a phone charger, the same can apply to your phone too, however, this applies mostly to iOS and Android phones and some phones can take longer time than others.

4. Save power

With more and more gadgets being introduced in the market, there has been emphasize on energy efficiency. Thankfully most of the latest devices are designed with a consideration of power saving.

The PS4 also, has never been left out of this; it comes with features that will help to save your power bills. If you check your PS4’s Settings it contains a Power Save Settings menu.

Here you can set however you want your PS4 to do so as to save power, you cans set the time you want it to shut down or standby mode.

5. Save games to an external hard drive

This is was the latest development that the PS4 features although not all people could know this. After Sony released update 4.50, users can now download games on an external hard drive.

This relieves users who have inadequate storage space from deleting old games and re-installing new games and especially the time it takes to download a full game from the internet. You just connect a hard drive to your PS4 and transfer all your games and anything you want to your hard drive.

Your PS4 can do more than you could imagine. In addition to entertaining you, it can go an extra mile and give you the best of services.
