According to a source, a number of testers are receiving the upgraded beta version of WhatsApp Reactions for both Android and iOS. Users can respond to chats by applying any emoji owing to this new feature.
On both platforms, there are currently only six reaction options available to users. This feature has previously been under development for a while on the instant messaging service owned by Meta.
Additionally, WhatsApp is releasing an enhanced message deletion time restriction for Android beta testers as well as everyone else.
According to WABetainfo, a platform that tests new WhatsApp features before they are made available to the general public, there have been developments around the distribution of an improved version of WhatsApp Reactions.
Platform-specific upgrades for this functionality include WhatsApp beta for Android 126.96.36.199 and as well as WhatsApp beta for iOS 188.8.131.52.
The current six emoji selections will have a “+” sign at the end so that testers on Android and iOS can respond to messages with any other emoji on the keyboard.
On Instagram, another service owned by Meta, users may already use this feature while sending direct messages.
According to initial reports, the updated WhatsApp function operates similarly to Instagram. By tapping and holding a message in a WhatsApp chat, beta testers can respond to it. A “+” icon will be seen in the reaction tray.
The Android Reactions keyboard can be accessed by tapping the icon. There is a simple drag and drop section to choose and search for any emoji in the WhatsApp beta for iOS. As was previously said, WhatsApp has been seen developing this capability for Android, iOS, and albums.
Another WhatsApp-related innovation is an improved time limit to erase texts for everyone in WhatsApp beta for Android (version 184.108.40.206). The new limit, which was announced earlier this year, is 2 days and 12 hours. Prior to this, the time frame was 1hr 8 mins and 16 secs.
