HMD Global, the Finland headquartered mobile phone manufacturer has recently launched Nokia T20, the tablet model of the Nokia mobile phone in Lagos, Nigeria.
Present at the launch venue are representatives from HMD Global, Nokia, TD Africa and members of the press.
Speaking on the specification of the Nokia T20, Adetayo Ogunnaike, rolled out the features of the mobile phone’s latest product while stating how it would be a good fit for the Nigerian market.
According to Adetayo, the rationale behind this product was borne out in the peak of the Covid-19 period when people were forced to stay back at home while they are required to be productive.
“And the thought was we realized that there was a mass for like an increase in collaboration apps or online meeting apps, the downloads of those apps when you look at the Microsoft, WebEx and zoom was about like the talk of the town in 2020.
Now, when you think of people trying to get more productive, And when people want to have meetings, people want to be on their phones, because you have presentations on this online meeting.
People want to view a lot of presentations on a larger landscape. So it was just ideal, until the right time to look into that part of producing or coming out with the tablet.”
As explained by Adetayo, HMD Global being the licensed manufacturer of Nokia mobile devices are working around brand guidelines that would make people prefer the device. He further stated that Nokia has maintained its popularity as a household name when it comes to ‘ruggedness’.

Screen Display
Nokia T 20 screen size comes with a 10.4 inch display and a 2k resolution. In addition the screen is blue light certified which makes it easy for the eye.
Picking up the Nokia T 20 gives you a memorable weekend for movies as the blue screen affords you an extended time to watch your preferred movies on the tablet.
For those that have experience the use of CTR screens, it would be recalled that it is not advisable to stay on such screen for a long time, as you are bound to likely end up with headache.
However, the Nokia T 20 is blue light certified, thus provides on screen protection for users.
Battery
The T 20 comes with a long lasting battery life and that is where the trust factor comes in. In addition, users are guaranteed, upgrades, hence, there is no need to change the device. The Nokia T 20 which is an android 11 model comes with two years OS upgrade, thus it can get upgraded to the next two android upgrades, version 12 and 13.
Other features
Nokia as a brand is also prominent for its durability, thus it has extended this feature into this new tablet.
Adetayo also added that the Nokia T 20 device was made for work, fun and play, thus kids can also make use of the device.
It has learning aids for kids with its Kids Corner section. This feature prevents kids from unnecessary access to adult content.
Basically the Nokia T 20 gives them access to just their own side of the device, where they can interact, learn, watch their cartoons or watch whatever interesting without having to worry about parental concerns or issues.
The device comes with a parental guidance feature, thus kids won’t be able to download any apps without the consent of their parents
