The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is calling for interested and qualified innovators to take part in its Gender Innovation Mapping Survey.
The survey is targeted at diverse innovators (non-profit, for profit, or hybrid) that are operating in regions where the UNFPA works and creating something new or novel to improve the lives of women and girls.
Innovations either be in their early stages (over one year in existence) with a focus on product or service development or in their growth stages (roughly 3 years of operations) with a focus on market validation, regular revenue or philanthropic contributions.
Innovators are expected to submit their innovations that address gender inequality, especially the ones that align with UNFPA’s priorities on ending gender-based violence (GBV) and harmful practices (HP), bodily autonomy, sexual and reproductive health and rights, and women and girls’ empowerment.
By taking part in the mapping exercise and sharing their experiences through the survey, innovators will play a role in amplifying the innovative work that is taking place across the globe, and increasing opportunities for collaboration between innovators and the organizations that support them.
Eligibility for participation
To participate, your innovation must have an impact on women and girls in these UNFPA regions:
- East & Southern Africa
- West & Central Africa
- Arab States
- Eastern Europe & Central Asia
- Asia & the Pacific
- Latin America & the Caribbean
Submissions will be included in the UNFPA gender innovation mapping, and select innovations may be featured in the report of the survey.
The findings from the survey will be shared with stakeholders within and outside the UN’s system to spark opportunities for collaboration and amplify innovative work.
