On a Monday morning, after my early morning rituals, a thought flee into my head. What is the thought? I need to fully maximize the free 24hours in a day.
Obviously, I did a reality check on how I spent time on social media such as Facebook. Cumulatively, I spend 2 hours in a day, thus doing things that are are relevant either to my job or personal life. I post a few things about technology, even on Twitter and LinkedIn.
After these analyses, I decided to sign up for Quota, following personal discoveries. Sometimes, if I do a Google Search, it brings out results from Quora website. Going deep into this online forum called Quora was superb. The knowledge gained are unquantifiable, so I want to share with you some of the reasons you should join the league of play.
Although, this is for a forum for like minded people, people who are determined to quench their hunger for knowledge. If you don’t find pleasure in reading, you are better off being on Instagram, not Quora.
Opportunity to follow real experts: It wasn’t too easily at the initial phase of joining Quora. It took me some minutes to start navigating options. I discovered that there were millions of experts in different industries on Quora. All I needed to do was to follow them, just like following someone on Twitter. These experts are ready to type 500 words on any questions.
Building Relationships: I am already building relationship with some persons on Quora. People that are ready to respond to my challenging questions. Networking with people is paramount if you want to build a successful career.
Information and Knowledge: information is powerful. It was on Quora that someone recommended a freelancing platform for me (Upwork). Signing up on Upwork gives you access to freelancing job opportunities.
Most times, I send questions directly to these experts and they respond. These are responses spiced up with experiences not just something that is not experienced based.
The information disposed on these platform is invaluable. And I doubt if money can buy them. Most of them pour out their wisdom gathered through series of seminars worth thousands of Dollars for free.
Self Development: This is is most important aspect of human life. You get lots of tips, testimonies and practical experiences on self development. Most of my recent morning ritual ideas were derived from Quora.
It is not enough to read up all the write up on this platform. For those tips to be effective, it’s imperative they are being applied. You get results when those information is used.
Job Recommendations: This is not the primary or secondary objective of Quora. However, some people do get referrals on jobs or direct employment from this platform. It all depends on what you want to achieve.
In conclusion, I will advise all readers to join Quora, you have men of 75 on that platform. A lot of experts of diverse industries ready to give valuable insights. You have no reason not to join.
