Users have begun to receive Telegram Premium, the paid membership that gives the chat service extra capabilities.
Users of the premium tier get access to faster downloads, up to 4 GB file uploads, and the ability to convert voicemails into text.
Along with the introduction of the subscription service, Telegram has also made a number of platform-wide upgrades for all users, including those who do not subscribe to the premium tier.
The Dubai-based business recently disclosed that it currently has more than 700 million active monthly users.
The cost of the premium Android membership has not yet been disclosed. The corporation would probably adopt a gradual approach, applying it to each country separately.
According to a blog post, Telegram Premium subscribers receive a doubled file upload size limit of 4 GB, up from the previous 2 GB allotment, for a monthly fee. As a result, users will have more room on the app to share files and media.
The free version of Telegram will enable users to access files and media that are larger than 2 GB in size that are originating from a Telegram Premium account.
To assist users in easily accessing massive media and files while on the go, Telegram Premium is said to offer a speedier download experience.
Additionally, users of Telegram Premium can follow up to 1,000 channels, makeup to 20 chat folders that can each hold 200 talks, and pin-up to 10 chats in the main list.
The Telegram software also allows paid users to add a fourth account. Additionally, users can save up to 10 favorite stickers on the premium tier.
Users can also write a longer bio and include a link in the premium version. Paid users can now respond with up to 400 of their favorite GIFs and add additional characters to media captions.
Additionally, Telegram now lets its premium users reserve up to 20 public t.me links. Telegram users can organize conversation lists by modifying the chat folder thanks to the premium subscription.
By doing this, paying customers will be able to replace the current All Chats tab with a custom folder as the default location each time they start the app.
Users that pay for the premium tier get access to the business’s transcription service, which allows them to convert their voicemails to text.
On Telegram, some stickers that are available to paid users have full-screen animations. The business added that various in-house artists would update the app’s premium sticker collection on a monthly basis.
On the free Telegram tier, users can enjoy full-screen visual effects in paid stickers. Users of the premium plan, however, are the only ones who can send these stickers.
Telegram Premium customers now receive over 10 additional emoji in addition to the animated stickers.
Additionally, users have the option to choose animated profile photos, which will change for each user when they see their chats and chat lists.
Each premium subscriber receives a unique emblem that indicates their paid membership next to their names in the chat headers, chat list, and member list in groups.
Telegram Premium subscribers now have the option to replace the original app icon with a night sky, premium star, or turbo-plane.
