TechMyBiz is an end-to-end digital transformation process to identify and select digital solutions (targeted at, or adaptable for MSMEs) developed by Nigerian innovators and/or Startups.
The initiative will further develop the selected digital solutions and support market awareness promotion to facilitate the digital transformation of MSMEs.
The TechMyBiz is an initiative of GIZ/Digital Transformation Center Nigeria (DTC Nigeria), which is jointly funded by the European Union (EU) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and is implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
The process of selecting Digital Innovations in Africa started with a “Call for Digital Solutions” campaign that offered a platform for many innovators, entrepreneurs and startups within the Nigerian ecosystem to register their already created Digital solutions from which 50 will be selected for a Pitch-a-thon event that will take place from July 12, 2023 to July 14, 2023. Out of this, 30 Digital Solutions will qualify as winners.

Charles Emembolu
Charles Emembolu is the Co-Founder and Director of Roar Nigeria Hub – Nigeria’s 1st university embedded, private-sector led, technology incubator founded under a triple helix structure in partnership with the University of Nigeria at Nsukka in 2016.
Over the last decade, he has founded and supported several technology and innovation-focused organizations.
He is the current Director for Partnerships of the Innovation Support Network (ISN) of Nigeria- a body of over 130 incubators, accelerators, and innovation hubs supporting the startup and innovation ecosystem in Nigeria.
Emembolu holds membership of the Nigerian Computer Society, Nigerian Society of Engineers and Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) – Digital Economy Industry thematic group.
Obi Asika
Obi Asika is acknowledged as one of the key African voices in the cultural, creative, innovation and sports sectors.
He is a prestigious member of the core group of the Presidential Advisory Committee for the Nigerian Startup Act and has worked on significant legislation in the spaces affecting creative industries, copyright, IP, innovation, sports and the entertainment industry.
Obi Asika is presently driving a new ecosystem platform for the tech, innovation and connected industries called The Omniverse which is launching in 2023.
Obi Asika sits at the nexus of culture, content and technology. He continues to influence policy and leaders to bring more attention to these sectors which include, sports, entertainment, technology, art, fashion, culture and the wider creative industries.
Nkemdilim Begho
Nkemdiliim Begho is a seasoned Information Technology professional with over 15 years of cross-sector industry experience in Nigeria.
She is currently the CEO of Future Software Resources Ltd., one of Nigeria’s leading digital & technology solutions companies, providing a broad range of solutions for the scaling African enterprise.
Over the years Nkemdilim has served in the leadership of the NESG Digital Economy Thematic group, and has been recognized as an Obama Africa Leader, Forbes’s Top Ten Female Tech Founders in Africa and Global Digital Women’s Top 10 Most Inspiring Women in Africa.
Yemi Keri
Yemi Keri is an award-winning commercially minded technologist with 23 years of experience in the Information Technology and Telecommunications industries serving in both the public and private sectors.
She is at the forefront of digital transformation to tackle business and social problems; recognized as one of the foremost women in Technology and serves as a mentor to various digital and technology-enabled start-ups.
Yemi is the Digital Platform and Financial Services Thematic Lead of the Nigeria Economic Summit Group(NESG), a member of Governing Council of the Fintech Association of Nigeria, and on the Advisory Board of Ingressive LLC, Majeur Chesterfield, and SabiHub.
She was honoured as Nigeria’s most outstanding Public Sector CIO at the ICT Centenary Awards in 2014.
Ifeoma Malo
Ifeoma Malo, is an organizational management expert with over 23 years of experience, building and directing organizational policy and strategy in energy and large scale utility markets, public health and biotechnology.
She is the Co-Founder/ CEO, Clean Technology Hub Nigeria – a pioneering hybrid hub for the research, development, demonstration and incubation of clean and green ideas and technologies in Africa.
Ms. Ifeoma is a Caux Scholar, African Leadership PIA Fellow, Desmond Tutu Fellow, Crans Montana New Leader Fellow, Acumen West Africa Fellow and also the Global Leadership Academy-We Africa Network.
She is a Commonwealth Leader and Scholar-CSC Leader. Ifeoma is also a member of boards that include: Greenpeace International, Access to Energy Institute (AE21), Extractive 360 and Norrenberger Financial Service.
Kelvin Umechukwu
Kelvin Umechukwu is the Co-founder & CEO of Bumpa, a platform that empowers small business owners with tools to manage and grow their businesses using mobile devices.
Kelvin is also the Founder of Consonance Club, a community dedicated to supporting innovators on their journey to grow and succeed. With over 15 years of experience in building businesses, engaging in community building, and his work experience with organizations like CcHub, and TechQuest, and advising so many others.
Kelvin has acquired a wealth of knowledge to share on strategies that help businesses grow and with Consonance, he’s offering this knowledge, and a range of resources and events to help young innovators network, grow, and access funding opportunities.
Bankole Oloruntoba
Bankole Oloruntoba is the CEO of the Nigeria Climate Innovation Center, a Climate Technology Partnership program of the World Bank and the Nigerian Government.
He is currently the Honorary Consul to Finland in Lagos, Nigeria and has a first degree (BSc. Economics) from ABU Zaria, an executive certificate in Building Brands from the Lagos Business School (LBS) and an MBA from Business School Netherlands (BSN).
Bankole is a social and business tactics engagement specialist with a deep background in entrepreneurship development, business development and innovation management.
He brings a wealth of experience in Green Innovation Programmes Design, Sustainability Management, Innovation-Driven Entrepreneurship (IDE) Development and Startup Business Development.
He is also an engaging Speaker, Convergence Coordinator and a fantastic listener.
Mercy Mayaki
Mercy Mayaki is the Country Director for Bopinc-an international organization that supports organizations to design and deliver commercially and socially viable business models.
Mercy has over 10 years of experience working on various international development programmes and is passionate about creating economic opportunities for low-income populations.
She has worked with Technoserve, Connexus Corporation, Palladium International Development, Adam Smith International and the Central Bank of Nigeria.
Mercy has degrees in mathematics, computer science and business. She has studied at the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom, the University of Mannheim in Germany and the China Europe International Business School in Shanghai China.
Sean J. Burrowes
Sean J. Burrowes, is an operations management expert, passionate about building economic bridges between the African continent and its diaspora.
He is the Co-founder and COO of Ingressive for Good, a nonprofit organization with the mission to create and increase the earning power of African youth through tech training and resources for the growth of the African startup ecosystems.
Sean has over a decade of operations experience spanning six countries and multiple verticals and has launched international brands, national campaigns, and startups with a focus on the African tech ecosystem.
