Many of us love to share stuff with friends and photos are usually the most important aspect of our sharing. That makes an image gallery solution as important as any social site and YouTube. Luckily, there is no shortage of free image hosting sites that offer quality services and convenience. All you have to do is to upload your pictures and share a link with your friends, so that all of them can access them. Here are a few good image sharing sites that can be very useful and functional:

Imgur.com

Images can be uploaded to imgur.com in a matter of seconds and it provides you with a short link to share with your friends. These images can also be shared through most of the popular social networks. Your images are not deleted automatically as long as someone is viewing them once every six months. Imgur supports upload of up to 10MB per file, which should be enough for even most high-resolution images. Imgur has also introduced their updated mobile apps for multiple platforms, making it even easier to share your photos on the internet.

Flickr is one of the most popular photo-sharing sites because other than just uploading your photos, it also has great image management system allowing you to organize your albums and photos neatly. Comments can also be generated by the community members and privacy options are provided to the user. The site offers a huge storage space (1TB) for free that should be enough for even the craziest of uploaders.

Photobucket.com

It is similar to Flickr in terms of features, but offers unlimited storage with a maximum file size of 5MB or 2048 x 1536 pixels. It also has Android, iPhone, Windows Phone and Blackberry apps to make the image sharing experience even more convenient.

Other noteworthy sites that you can try out include imageshack.us, freeimagehosting.net, postimage.org and imgplace.com. All of them offer something unique and only by visiting them can you determine which suits you best. Other than these site, Google’s photo sharing solution also works great, particularly on Android-based devices, but for the desktop users, the sites above offer the convenient and efficient solution for photo sharing needs for free. Some offer more space, but some are more integrated with social networks so it is all about what you actually want that will determine which you will choose to use.
