The Converge II a quarterly Pan-African Blockchain and Crypto Meetup by Blockbuild.africa is set to hold virtually on Wednesday, November 24, 2021. You can register here to participate.
The virtual event with the theme, “Economic implications of e-naira and cryptocurrencies on Nigeria’s economy”, aims to discuss the possibilities and issues of e-naira by the Nigerian government and also how the resources from crypto transactions can be channelled into the economy.
Ultimately, The Converge II would explore how we can foster collaborations between the blockchain ecosystem and the Nigerian government to explore blockchain solutions, and policies that benefit both parties.
The Converge II will see host of speakers who will deliver the keynotes and discuss at panel sessions
The first panel session will do justice to the topic, “Economic Impact of cryptocurrencies in developing countries like Nigeria”, while the second panel session will discuss the topic, “Can e-naira Influence the Nigerian economy?”.
Here is the lineup of speakers for The Converge II event:
Chuta Chimezie
Chuta is the Founder and Coordinator of Blockchain Nigeria User Group. He is also the Lead Organizer of Drupal Nigeria User Group community.
He is the author of “Seizing Opportunities in Blockchain and Digital Currency Revolution: A Handbook for Enthusiasts.”, while another of his book, “The Building Blocks of Blockchain StartUP Entrepreneurs” is work in progress.
Chuta is a well-known member of both the Nigerian and global blockchain community. He has been an open-source advocate and an evangelist for 9 years.
Lavina Ramkissoon
Lavina has a blended spread in multi technologies. She is into Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, applied Blockchain to mention a few.
Her advocacy for applied blockchain has made her a leading female figure in technology. She is also an African Fintech Network AFN ambassador.
Lavina is the Co-author of ‘Believer in humanities with blockchain being the technology and cryptos are first mainstream manifestation of its potential
Oluwasegun Kosemani
Kosemani is the Founder of Botmecash, a cryptocurrency and digital asset exchange platform that allows users to create and have a wallet address that can be funded to purchase and sell Bitcoin, other Altcoin, trade your gift cards and overloaded airtime for cash.
He also doubles as the Co-founder of Convrs’ah and Founding Partner of TCMN.
Muthoni Njoku
Muthoni is interested in all matters relating law and blockchain technology.
She is an experienced Managing Partner with a demonstrated history of working in the legal services industry. Skilled in Negotiation, Customer Service, Strategic Planning, Marketing Strategy, and Legal Research.
Muthoni is currently the Managing Partner at Njogu & Associates Advocate.
Henry Onyebuchi
Henry is a Solidity Smart Contract Engineer with a passion for learning new things while seeking out challenging roles to distinguish himself.
He was the Co-founder of InfluenXial Community Engagement Firm, a platform committed to bridging the gap between crypto business and the community that grows it. Henry was also a Blockchain developer at REFORLIFE.
Currently he is the Co-founder and CTO of Lead Wallet Lead, a platform with a multi-functional multi-cryptocurrency wallet that allows users to easily send, receive, and swap between assets without needing to move from one platform to another to achieve special transactions.
Charles Okaformbah
Charles is a Techpreneur and Blockchain Solutions Architect with deep knowledge on tokenization/token economy and Cryptocurrencies, Smart Contracts development on Public and Enterprise blockchains, and Full Stack technologies with over 15years of technology and startup experience in application development, project management, ERP, Cloud, as well as business growth solutions.
Charles is a Member of the International Token Standardization Association (ITSA). A Blockchain and tokenization training facilitator for Central Bank of Nigeria Payment System Department, Nigeria Security Minting and Printing PLC, Mauritius Institute of Engineering and Technology, and Nigeria Computer Society. Also, a regular guest on AriseTV Global Business on Blockchain technology, CBDC, and tokenization.
He is passionate about seeing ideas that have established ‘proof of concept’ and value proposition come to life. A goal-driven individual with a passion for productivity and human development, fun-loving, and entrepreneurial-driven.
Charles is currently the Technical Team Lead/CoFounder at Convexity Humanitarian Aid Transfer Solutions(CHATS); a digital cash & Voucher Assistance transfer platform based on Blockchain to enable digital token value (Funds) transfer between Donors, NGOs, Beneficiaries, and Vendors.
Sam Ayorinde
Sam is a Software/Blockchain Developer with experience developing web apps with high standards and interacting with multiple stakeholders from technical and non-technical backgrounds, ensuring clarity, quality, and continuous delivery.
He has worked with technologies such as React, Sass, Bootstrap, CSS, Node, MongoDB, Javascript and currently focusing on blockchain development, building full-stack DApps.
Sam is a self-starter with a proven ability to leverage multiple technologies to build interactive and innovative applications.
