Come Wednesday, August 5, 2020, Samsung sets to host its Galaxy Unpacked event.
According to Tae Moon Roh, President and Head of Mobile Communications Business at Samsung Electronics, the company will unveil up to five products at the event.
To ensure physical distancing amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the unveiling will hold virtually.
The event will also see the expected launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series.
In a blog post, Roh confirmed that, “At this summer’s Galaxy Unpacked, we’ll be introducing five new power devices.
These devices deliver on our vision to be the innovator of new mobile experiences that flow seamlessly and continuously wherever we go.”
Leaks around the launch indicate that there are three versions of the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series that might get unveiled.
The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Note 20+, however, Roh didn’t specify in the blog post the exact versions of the Samsung device that would get unveiled at the launch.
Nevertheless, it got confirmed that Galaxy Fold 2 smartphone, Samsung’s new wearables and earables will get unveiled on the said date.
“In the Next Normal, you will get empowered to live life to the fullest with these devices in your hand (and in your ears, and on your wrist)” Roh added
Other Samsung devices that are likely to get launched at the Galaxy Unpacked event include:
Samsung Galaxy Watch 3, Galaxy Buds Live, Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ tablets, Galaxy Z Flip 5G model, and Samsung Galaxy Tab S7.
Recent reports indicate that Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G got set for launch on Wednesday, July 22, 2020.
However, Roh’s comments indicate that these devices would get unveiled at the Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for August.
