One-way visual interview software startup, Wamly has raised a 2nd round investment from, Knife Capital, a South African venture capital firm. The deal sees Knife Capital partner in UK, Dave’s Gant, join the Wamly Board of Directors.
Wamly is a video interview software that connects talented people to great companies and helps them hire better people faster.
It helps companies recruit vacant positions without having to conduct one-on-one interviews, allowing them to interview a lot more people and even better candidates, faster.
With the software, companies can filter through applications quicker, review them in their own time, and shortlist the best candidates for future interviews.
Since its inception, the startup has proven itself to be the biggest video interview software provider in Africa.
Wamly has been generating recurring cash flow and with the support of an experienced partner like Knife Capital, growth can be accelerated faster.
Founder of Wamly and industrial psychologist, Francois de Wet, worked with many high-profile CEOs and corporates.
Over the years he observed that they were all highly frustrated with inconsistencies and inefficiencies in the recruitment process. Francois de Wet realized this problem and in and started a side hustle in 2018, tending to this problem.
When Shark Tank South Africa investor and entrepreneur, Marnus Broodryk, tried out the video interview software in his accounting firm, he experienced the ease and time-saving benefits.
In this, de Wet saw the potential of helping companies and CEOs around the globe experience the same ROI in their businesses.
