The November 2017 edition of CFA’s Startups Hangout, will be the last for this year, is slated to come up on Friday, November 24, 2017 by 5:00pm and this edition will be featuring the second Startups Pitch session in the series. This is aside the successful entrepreneurs that have been invited to speak to the Startups. They are John Obaro, MD, SystemsPecs (Remita) and Jane Egerton-Idehen, Country Manager, Avanti Satellite Communications.
John Obaro, Managing Director of SystemSpecs, (Remita), which is today, Nigeria’s leading e-payment provider, through its Remita solution. It is currently the Central bank of Nigeria’s, (CBN), adopted payment gateway for the facilitation of the Federal Government’s Treasury Single Account, (TSA), project, processing about N6billion worth of transactions on Monthly basis.
John Obaro is an alumnus of both Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and University of Lagos as well as the Chief Executive Program, (CEP3), of Lagos Business School. He has served, at various times, on the Boards of Ministerial Advisory Council on Information and Communication Technology, Institute of Software Practitioners of Nigeria, Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria, (CPN), and many more.
Jane Egerton-Idehen, Country Manager, Avanti Satellite Communications, has garnered12 years plus experience in the industry. She focuses on bridging the business and technical challenges of managing complex, high-value business relationship in the industry, having managed operations for Multinational telecommunications Companies, such as Nokia Siemens and Ericsson, in countries in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Jane is a graduate of Electronics Engineering from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, , with an Executive education from Harvard University and an MBA from Warwick Business School.
