New Training Program by Samsung

samsungSamsung Electronics West Africa (SEWA) will be supplementing government’s efforts in job creation in the region. It has promised to train youths in electronics engineering across Africa. The trainees will receive pro-active training free of charge with Samsung’s equipment. In the program, they are trained on Hand Held Products, Computers & Printing Technologies, Audio-Visual home applications and Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.

Students will be selected from local technical colleges such in the region as part of Samsung’s corporate social obligation in Nigeria. This will be in a move to support the government build a workforce that is well trained. The trainees will either be retained in the company or find jobs elsewhere on graduating.

Through the Electronics Engineering School by Samsung, these trainees will get hands-on and professional skills education. It is an opportunity that will open up skilled and well-paying employment opportunities to the students.

Samsung aims to differentiate the services it offers to its customers and in the process build personnel of excellent technicians and high-class service experts. All this will be consistent with the government’s initiative of building career opportunities and employments, for its young citizens.

The selected students will undergo a program that runs for a year. The program will comprise of elementary, intermediary and advanced skills in electronic engineering. It will be aligned to the set curriculum in their corresponding technical schools.
