The NEF has selected 9 Nigerian startups that would take part in its Invention to Innovation (Ci2i) competition taking place in the Innovation Fair on March 10 and 11, 2020.
Out of 260 applications, 25 finalists were selected, with 9 Nigerian startups inclusive.
In its third cohort, the Ci2i finalists represent African innovators who are developing solutions in healthcare, logistics, agriculture and energy.
They will all pitch for a prize award of $ 25,000 for the categories applied for.
There will be part of training which will hold in the form of boot camp.
This will take place prior to the NEF International Meeting which will commence on Tuesday, March 10, 2020.
The selected finalist will also take part in sessions that will take them through investment and pitching readiness.
Here are the nine selected Nigerian startups among the 25 that made the final
Airsynq
An automated aerial surveillance system, powered by balloon satellites (IoT), that helps companies monitor pipelines and other assets in real-time.
FrontierSS
This startup brings together STEM education facility and the design of educational solutions
Gricd
Has built IoT powered refrigeration (Hardware) solutions for preserving and transporting Agriculture and Healthcare products in locations without power infrastructure.
Hydrotriciton
It ensures a zero-emission and enables power generation through water as a reliable source of energy through a cost-effective hydrogen gas production.
Ifymoto
Produces high quality and affordable protein sources as an alternative for animal feed. It is basically an insect farm company.
Offgrid
Produces an economical stove that burns at 70% less of biomass and cooks food 5 times faster than an average cooking stove.
Poker
Developed storage for information and transmitting solutions for financial institutions like banks and other companies. Government security agencies are not left out.
Reeddi
Offers clean and cost-effective power to household and business platforms operating in locations with access to low energy.
Salubata
Makes standard and custom-designed shoes from recyclable plastic.
Vinsighte
Computer-vision powered (IoT) glasses that help the visually impaired read and navigate their environments independently.
