NCC appoints Reuben Muoka as New Public Affairs Director

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has recently appointed Reuben Muoka as the Director of Public Affairs of the Commission.

Until his appointment into the commission, Reuben Muoka has been a long-standing ICT reporter and public relations practitioner.

The recent appointment has seen Muoka replace the erstwhile Director of Public Affairs, Dr. Ikechulkwu Adinde who now resumes another position as the Director of Special Duties of NCC.

The public affairs unit of the Commission is not a new department to Mouka as he was a principal officer under late Dr. Eugene Juwah and Engineer Ernest Ndukwe for some years. From 2009 to 2015, he was the head of media and public relations until the appointment of the current EVC, Prof. Umar Danbatta,

Muoka had worked with the Vanguard newspaper, writing about issues on Hi-Tech. On exiting the print media, he became the Corporate Affairs Manager at MTS First Mobile, a pioneer company in mobile communication in Nigeria.

He has a first and second degree in Mass Communication. He was a one-time president of the League of Communications Correspondents in Nigeria, a body that supports ICT journalists to become professional ICT reporters.
