myFanPark, a South African based startup has recently announced its merger with Starsona Inc, a Silicon Valley-based celebrity engagement marketplace.
The startup is a fan-celebrity engagement platform cofounded by Jean de Villiers.
This merger will see the entry of myFanPark into the US market with the possibility of international investment and more access to a large customer base.
This current merger makes it the fourth expansion of myFanPark as it extends business frontiers into the international market.
The South African startup has yet placed itself as a force to reckon with among the world’s celebrity engagement platform.
According to Jean de Villiers, the merger isn’t just beneficial to the startup alone but also greatly impacts the fans’ experience while interacting with the platform.
“We are thrilled to announce myFanPark’s merger with Silicon Valley-based celebrity engagement platform, Starsona, which not only further expands myFanPark’s global footprint from SA to India, Germany, Nigeria, and now the USA, but also gives fans around the world more unique and authentic ways to connect with those they admire most.”
Jean further explained that the merger isn’t restricted to welcoming the 2400 stars present on the platform’s website but also allowing them to engage in shoutout videos, send DM messages, a Q&A session, and even make live calls.
The platform has made this possible for the stars to interact with their fans in their own unique way.
The startup was established in 2019 with the aim of reimagining the way brands and upcoming talents inspire their audiences across the world via personal interactions.
myFanPark created an innovative platform that enables its users to interact with celebrities through DMs, live phone calls, and many more medium.
With these, users can get personalized video chats from their favorite celebrities.
The startup has collaborated with other platforms to ensure that videos are purchased on the platform at a percentage fee that goes to the partner platform.
Reportedly, myFanPark has increased by 429% and this has seen an accelerated increase in the percentage of total orders by 959%. The startup revenue increased by 283% with a demand for talent going up by 500%.
From these indications, new talents in the entertainment industry have connected with their fans through the platform.
This success led to the merger with Starsona Inc. Joy Des Fountain, co-CEO of Starsona Inc. said that myFanPark offers different ways to meet with fans.
“Our goal at myFanPark is to reimagine how people around the world are able to connect, engage, share with, and inspire each other.
We can now offer an almost limitless range of ways for fans and celebrities from all over the world to forge authentic, highly personalized, and valuable relationships with each other.”
