This year’s Beacon of Information and Communications Technology (BoICT) awards/lecture series took place on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Eko Hotelas & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

This year the theme was “5G: Exploring New Frontiers for Superior Service Delivery” and it leans heavily on the buzz around 5G- which if harnessed to its fullest potential, will feed the accelerated rise of the Internet of Things, enabling a smarter and more connected world.

The awards on the other hand are merit-centric and are designed to reward and recognize individuals and firms with outstanding contributions to the growth of the ICT sector in Nigeria.

According to the organizers of the event, Nigeria Communications Week, the gathering isn’t just about celebrating these achievements, but also to give due regard to reward to Nigeria’s value and morals which these awardees exemplify.
