Meet the Speakers of The Converge III

The Converge III a quarterly Pan-African Blockchain and Crypto Meetup by Blockbuild.africa is set to hold virtually on Thursday, February 24, 2022. You can register here to participate.

The virtual event with the theme, “Positioning Africa for the Metaverse”, aims to discuss what this technology is bringing to the table for the African economy.

Ultimately, The Converge III would explore educating participants on the trends of crypto myths and facts, how they can access these cryptos and benefit from them, lay insights on what’s next and how to get positioned for the latest blockchain trends including Metaverse, Web3, NFTs and the likes.

The Converge III will see a host of speakers who will deliver the keynotes and discuss at panel sessions

The first-panel session will do justice to the topic, “Unpacking the intricacies of NFTs and Web3 in Africa”, while the second-panel session will discuss the topic, “NFTs, DEFI, Metaverse; Challenges and opportunities for Africa”.

Here is the lineup of speakers for Converge III:

Dr. Tammy Francis

Tammy is an Edupreneur and CEO of Global Catalyst 4 Change. As a global educator, strategist and consultant, she has impacted a lot of value and boosted efficiency in different sectors through her books, while speaking in events and advocating for the adoption of blockchain technology.

She is also a blockchain, crypto and Web3 enthusiast.

Fred Lawanson

He is an author, speaker, consultant, entrepreneur and blockchain enthusiast. Fred has a background in finance and experience in SME management.

He is currently the Co-founder and COO for Tajiri global, a pan-African decentralized ecosystem with a vision to accelerate business activities in Africa.

Oluwaseyi Falola

Oluwaseyi is an entrepreneur and a technology disruptor. He has been active in the blockchain space for about 7 years now.

Apart from his vibrant activity in the cryptocurrency space, he is also a vocal advocate for the wider adoption of decentralized exchanges/platforms in all aspects of society.

He is the project lead for Dexfiat; a decentralized, community-regulated, peer-to-peer network for transactions across fiat and crypto-assets.

Gideon Nweze

Gideon founded Diba to help millions of people understand, own, and collect non-custodial digital assets issued on Bitcoin.

Gideon has been involved with blockchain technology since 2016. He has worked with several blockchain projects and founded Word Blockchain Hackathon and The Babylon project – hosting dev communities from 69 countries organically reaching 2.4 million viewers.

From his work and deeper research into blockchain, Gideon solidified his belief in Bitcoin and is further building on top of this decentralized foundation, which is the future of humanity.

Efosa Ighodaro

Efosa is a seasoned innovator. Prior to founding the Krosscoin Project, Africa’s first crypto-token ecosystem, he invented Pipdroid, the world’s only mobile Algo trading platform for MT4 forex platform users, the most ubiquitous retail forex trading platform.

He is also the Founder/CEO of Hashgreed, Africa’s first and leading NFT marketplace.

Orduson Gold

Gold is a crypto trader, content creator, and crypto enthusiast who has dedicated a lot of her time to educating people on cryptocurrencies as the anchor of ‘pick a niche’ and AMA session on Grindearn.

Tammy Ogoosi

He is a Product Manager at Patricia Technologies. Patricia technologies is a Crypto company that’s bridging everyday lives and cryptocurrency, from making day-to-day payments to onboarding almost anyone.

Tammy currently aims to create solutions in the area of onboarding new users to the web3 space.

In the past 6 months, he has identified trends in the web3 space which have made massive jumps in revenue and user experience.

Paul Ezeafulukwe

Paul ventured into the Blockchain Industry in 2015 and has since become a voice in the ecosystem. He is well versed in blockchain and cryptocurrency matters and has gained experience providing advisory services to a lot of startups in the space.

Paul was the two-time ex-President and Co-Promoter with a host of others; Stakeholders In the Blockchain Technology Association Of Nigeria (SiBAN).

Paul Ezeafulukwe was also the Executive Director, Strategy and International Finance, Bitfxt Technology Limited.

He was also the Africa Team Lead of one of the World’s Biggest Crypto Exchange which is OKEX and is Currently the Africa team of the World’s Biggest Futures copy trading Platform Named BITGET.

Karla Obakpolor

Karla Obakpolor aka KarlaGod, founder of cryptosmartnow.io a B2B Crypto Asset Management company and qlipit.io Africa’s foremost Cross-Chain NFT Platform.

Apart from being a business developer, Karla is also a music artist, a songwriter, and a rapper.
