The Africa Tech Summit brings together technology leaders, mobile network operators, corporations, startups, investors, entrepreneurs, governments, trade associations, and the media.
This year, Nine businesses from across Africa have been chosen to participate in Pitch Live at Africa Tech Summit in Nairobi this week, offering them the opportunity to pitch their idea live on stage.
Over 500 IT leaders will be connected over two days beginning tomorrow (February 23), with three summits, workshops, an expo, a negotiation room, a venture showcase, and networking opportunities. The event was previously held in Kigali, Rwanda.
Over 300 proposals were received for Pitch Live, which is funded by Paystack and Microsoft and aims to highlight prominent startup initiatives from across the continent while linking them with leading investors, corporates, and commercial possibilities. The startups that have been chosen are looking for pre-seed, seed, or Series A funding.
Here are the selected startups:

Visual and Artificial Intelligence Solutions (Egypt)
(VAIS) is a deep-tech firm that creates unique AI/deep learning algorithms and solutions for use in agricultural technology (AgriTech) and multispectral Earth Observation (EO) data analytics.

Eshi Express is here to tackle the last-mile delivery dilemma with efficient processes and innovative technologies that will bring convenience, cut goods prices, and assist businesses in growing without incurring additional costs.
Andrew Fassnidge, the founder of Africa Tech Summit, expressed his joy with the response to the fourth edition of Pitch Live and expressed his excitement for the opportunity to present these interesting projects live and in person at Africa Tech Summit. Paystack’s startup programs lead, Nubi Kay, expressed his delight at the opportunity to work with Africa Tech Summit to encourage ambitious founders to create the next wave of disruptive businesses throughout the continent.
He also mentioned that, as part of the Paystack Startups Programme and an intensive workshop during the conference to explore important levers for development and international development, all participating entrepreneurs would receive an invitation to the Paystack Startups Programme.
