Mass shooting events without a doubt have now become a worldwide phenomenon and has also haunted the Nigerian society from time immemorial till recent times, but the most recent incident in Nigeria’s case is a huge cause to worry about and is also hideous enough to cause a nationwide standstill.

The gruesome incident that just took place in Lagos, Nigeria on the dusk of Tuesday, October 20, 2020, a single event of mass shooting and killing of unarmed civilians who were peacefully protesting for a better future for their dear country, and also clamouring to put an end to widespread police brutality and all other forms of inhumane treatment towards the citizenry by uniformed officers of the law, has now turned out to build a negative impact that is well over ten times the spasm of previous incidents.

This tragedy has drawn a disproportionate amount of public attention and also turned out to become a focal event within the consciousness of the general public as well as a site of collective trauma.

On the outlook of the rationale behind the essence of applying such brute force towards harmless citizens, Techbuild Africa does abjudicate and strongly frown against this inhumane treatment, and also joins in insisting that the primary demands of the protesters be heeded to, while the needs of the victims from the mayhem be met immediately as this scale of violence that was brought upon them was unwarranted, as they did nothing wrong to bring such tragic fate upon themselves.

Techbuild Africa also wishes to express its heavy sympathy with the victims and their families in the form of thoughts and prayers and on its path will continue to uphold its support towards all those toiling and sweating positively for a better Nigeria.
