Two Lagos based startups, Lucy and Pukena stole the show and finally booked a spot for a 1 on 1 with CFA.
The “1 on 1 with CFA” is a pitch contest for startups in Nigeria; an initiative put together by CFAtech.ng, one of the leading media platform in Nigeria.
This means the winners, Lucy and Pukena will have the opportunity to interact with CFA on Tech Trends. This is worth over a million Naira in valuation.
The “1 on 1 with CFA” had over 100 entries from different startups across Lagos. 11 startups were selected while 8 participated in the contest.
Aside from the support by the CFAtech Team, the contest served as a medium for all the startups that participated to take corrections and advice from the judges.
The panel of judges consist of Jane Egerton-Idehen, Country Manager, Avanti; Adeoye Abodunrin, Director at Xpos; and Lanre Adelanwa Basamta, Head of Marketing at Systemspecs.
Announcing the winners, Jane said, “there were 3 distinct start-ups ( Lucy, Pukena, and Caketunes) that stood out, but like we said. “You are all winners.”
You might not have taken home the grand prize today, but you got knowledge to help improve your start-up and succeed out there. It is all a journey.”
This is the third series of the “1 on 1 with CFA” pitch contest and the CFAtech Team looks firm to continue its support for the startup ecosystem.
“This is our little way of supporting the startup ecosystem. The whole idea is to encourage the startups because they are the future of this country,” says Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata, Founder of CFAtech.ng.
