A Report from Broker Chooser has revealed that Kenya ranks fourth position globally when it comes to cryptocurrency interest with Ukraine, Russia, and the United States leading the chart.
In the last twelve months, Kenyans search on cryptocurrency topped 99,810, indicating that there were 18 searches per 10,000 people during the period of interest as reported by Citizen newspaper.
The report also indicates that Kenyans have greater interest than South Africa and Nigeria in terms of per capita interest while showing that more than 4 million Kenyans own cryptocurrency with a score of 5.5 out of 10.
In spite of the increasing adoption of cryptocurrencies by Kenyans, the government has however ignored calls for the country to adopt cryptocurrency.
This continuous refusal by the government may just be hindering the growth of digital assets in the country.
