Not too many international events live up to expectation for one reason or the other, but the IBM Interconnect 2016 brought together the finest IBMers, Experts, IBM customers, Tech enthusiasts and, of course, gentlemen of the press.
It was indeed a thrilling experience from the word go. The event kicked off with a theatre-styled opening general session that gave you an impression that you were about to witness a movie premiere, but then, it was serious business going on.
There were over 20,000 attendees and well over 1,500 sessions that cut across Cloud, Analytics, Internet of Things, Data, Watson, Bluemix, Mobile, Security, Smart cities, financial services, etc. I could go on and on. It was simply impossible to be a part of every of those sessions and IBM was smart enough to create an app that helped participants to plan their schedule, focusing on the sessions that were most important to them. IBM has wasted no time to announce that InterConnect 2017 would hold from March 19 – 23, 2017 at MGM Grand & Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.
