After wallowing in the Android ecosystem for many years I had many reasons to switch to iPhone. Some Android devices hang while performing a task. I said some, not all Android devices. This is not to rubbish the efforts of Android smartphone makers. They have been quite innovative and the ecosystem has been intensely competitive. Manufacturers are adding new features to their devices.
All these are yet to trigger me to switch to Android. Am still feeling the good beat from Apple. Like I mentioned earlier, hanging while performing a task was a major reason to migrate. While I was focused on getting things done by simply posting a content on the web. The Android device was bent on hanging and refreshing. I end up loosing the content and that makes me to start posting again. It was a horrible experience.
I recently discovered some tricks and hacks for iPhone users. While some have been existing for some time. These hacks would be useful to iPhone users.
Undo or Redo Text by Shaking your iPhone
I type everyday using the Evernote App and I make lots of mistakes. I could mistakenly delete a text and that ends it. It was dicey for me recal the text. I would simply start afresh.
I couldn’t ask for more hacks when I discovered that I could only shake my phone to undo the text. No magic here! Anytime you are taking note and you delete a text by mistake just shake your iPhone.
Night Reading Hack
Reading at night works for a lot people and doesn’t for some. This feature adds a yellow tint on your screen at night. This hack is good for those who read through their phone at night. Go to Settings -> Display & Brightness -> Night Shift.
Turn Your iPhone Screen to Black
If your device has been updated to iOS 11 then you can use this feature. The Smart Invert feature essentially brings a dark mode to iPhone. The white background changes from the white background into black and the black text into white.
Here is what you need to do.
Navigate to Settings -> General -> Accessibility -> Display Accommodations -> Invert Colors -> Smart Invert.
