Recently, Google services faced outages in several countries of the world, bringing down most of its app.
This development has prompted error messages on Drive, YouTube, and Gmail. However, some of these Google services including YouTube and others were fully functional when opened in incognito mode.
Sometime in early November, YouTube faced a significant outage for a couple of hours, an indication that the Google-owned music platform has again become the most affected in the outage.
Reports from Downdetector indicated that the live streaming video platform has been on the receiving end with quite over 20,000 cases.
The report shows that Gmail has more than 11,000 cases while Google’s website and Google Drive show 15,000 and 400.
Opening the YouTube homepage will display this message, ‘something went wrong’, The music video platform admitted by tweeting that its service is indeed facing challenges which it hopes to rectify.
Also according to the Google Workspace Status Dashboard, most of Google’s services like Meet, Sheets and Calendar are facing the same challenge.
The service is gradually getting back as YouTube commenced working for some users a couple of hours ago.
Sometime in November, YouTube went down globally.
It rectified the issue within two hours and they informed users through a tweet about fixing the issue. However, no explanation was given for the outage.
