The Collaboration will lead to the creation of the Enye Inc. Frontiers Technology Fellowship, for each Cohort of The Founder Institute in Lagos

The Founder Institute, the world’s largest pre-seed accelerator program and Enye Inc., a nonprofit talent accelerator believes that technology can play a significant role, in alleviating social, political and economic problems.

Both parties are, therefore announcing a partnership to further connect early-stage start-ups, with technical resources in Lagos.

As part of this partnership, the two organisations will begin a mutual partnership, to collaborate and work with aspiring software engineers and entrepreneurs, in the tech ecosystem, through the Founder Institute program and Enye Inc engineering cohorts.

Enye.Tech, as a Talent Accelerator, is proud of its contributions to human capital and economic stability, through its last three engineering cohorts.

Enye trains and pairs intermediate engineers, after a fully remote six-month intensive training and mentoring program.

Enye trains Nigerians, in core IT skills, (such as software development, enterprise architecture and project management).

Enye is committed to helping Nigeria-based start-ups get access to properly, trained intermediate engineers.

There is a need to equip junior developers, with the right training and guidance.

A statement released by the Lead Director, Founder Institute Lagos, Wande Adalemo, reads as follows; ‘this partnership deepens our offering, at Founder Institute, Lagos, as we are constantly looking at building the Lagos ecosystem.

This is Africa’s fifth largest economy and little progress has been made, despite the potential $2bn value, yet to be unlocked.

Collaborations like this, will ensure that value is translated to tangible outcomes, for Founders who join the program in Lagos”.

“This is one of the many partnerships and collaborations that will ensure that building a start-up in Lagos is easier.

I am, especially, looking forward to this, for this cohort and many cohorts, thereafter”, Adalemo added.

Founder Institute and Enye.Tech, will collaborate to support and provide resources for the 20+ start-ups, joining Founder Institute, Lagos, each year.

In addition to supporting start-up founders, throughout Lagos, a goal of this initiative will be, to train entrepreneurs from the idea stage, to early company stage/equip individuals with problem-solving skills, for society.

Currently, Enye has an 86% success rate, in placing Enye-trained engineers, with organisations and also, emphasises on skills necessary, to meet international standards of employability, e.g., collaboration, knowledge transfer and commitment, to product success.

According to the Regional Director, Founder Institute, Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata Jnr; “we are excited for the value that Enye has added, so far.

This collaboration increases the value that both organisations can offer the ecosystem, because the connection of a world-class curriculum and quality technical resources, will result in the creation of great companies, in very short turnaround time”.

For early-stage founders and teams, up to the challenge, the Founder Institute’s comprehensive step-by-step program, provides the structure, mentor support, and global network of entrepreneurs needed, to start an enduring company.

The Founder Institute is the only program of its kind that focuses on people, versus ideas, accepts founders, with day jobs and shares equity with all participants.

Founder Institute Graduate companies include fast-rising start-ups, across 6 continents, like Udemy, Realty Mogul, Travelcar, goplaceit, Appota, and many more.
