FinTrak CEO wins NITMA ICT Personality of the Year Award

FinTrak Software CEO, Bimbo Abioye, emerged the winner of the ICT Personality of the Year Award for 2020, at the just concluded National Information Technology Merit Award (NITMA), organised by the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS).

He was declared the winner of the keenly contested award with the Managing Director of Rack Centre, Dr. Ayotunde Coker as runner-up.

Among the nominees for the award the CEO of eTranzact International PLC., Niyi Toluwalope.

Speaking at the event on Thursday, the President of NCS, Professor Adesina Sodiya noted that it is an annual event to celebrate and reward the marks of excellence among members that have contributed to the special national platform NITMA has put in place.

“Our focus as a society is progress for the sector in particular and for the nation as a whole.

As the acknowledged professional authority facilitating the development of an inclusive, globally competitive, prosperous and knowledge-based digital economy in Nigeria, NCS is committed to recognizing and rewarding outstanding hard work and excellence in accelerating IT development”.

He said this while congratulating Abioye for his contributions to the development of local software solutions in the country.

In his citation at the event, “Abioye holds an MBA in information technology from Olabisi Onabanjo University and a certification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.

He worked at ADH as an internal auditor for two years and later as head of finance and systems at the same company.

He proceeded to Reliance Bank, where he worked as a group head for financial control and ICT services and Acting General Manager of Operations and Technology.

He has been the Group Managing Director at FinTrak Software since 2006. FinTrak Software is a global Financial Technology company, delivering innovative technology and business solutions to financial institutions in the financial services sector and enterprises across continents”.

FinTrak Software has offices in Nigeria, Ghana, and Gambia. With a team of professional software engineers and equipped with experiences that cut across banking, finance, audit, consulting, and software development.
