They never knew this could become a global cliché that will eventually go down generations.
Black Friday has evolved into the greatest sales event of the year where retailers treat their customers to rock-bottom discounted rates on products while they in turn smile to the Bank with sales proceeds.

In bigger global markets such as China and the United States, online buying accounts for a greater portion of shoppings done on Black Fridays as brands collaborate with online shopping Malls like Alibaba, eBay, and other e-commerce giants to reach out to customers across the globe.
Emerging markets such as in Africa, leading e-commerce platform, Jumia is also championing the course to provide a thrilling Black Friday experience to customers on the continent.
Jumia kicked off the year 2020 Black Friday sales on the 6th of November with collaboration with quoted global brands to provide shoppers the best possible deals while enabling them to save more.
The Black Friday campaign has been a success year-on-year, hence the reason we’re hosting it for the 8th time.
We know customers are always on the lookout for the best deals and as such, there will be a significant increase in inventory across all product categories, flash sales on top SKUs.
So It is also an avenue to give back to consumers by offering them amazing and cost-saving deals,” said Jumia Nigeria CEO, Massimiliano Spalazzi.
Jumia is in partnership with sellers and brands on its platform to offer consumers a wide assortment of products ranging from groceries, electronics, home items; and special deals with purchase incentives one of such is the avenue for shoppers to get cheap or free delivery from brands and manufacturers partnering with Jumia during the sales period.
Brands such as Unilever, Samsung, Absolute, Nivea, and P&G are offering free and faster shipping of their products.
Also eligible for free shipping include products from Coca-cola, Reckitt Benkiser hygiene products, Nestle seasoning and beverage products, gadget products by Umidigi, and Apple.
