Dream VC, a Global Investor Accelerator, has today launched its venture capital programs for aspiring African investors for 2023.

Commenting on the 2023 launch, Mark Kleyner, Co-Founder at Dream VC, said, “Understanding how to invest or support startups with operational questions in emerging markets is already very difficult. Many aspiring startup investors are put off by their lack of experience or ‘access’ to the right networks of other investors, other founders and other ecosystem players, especially if they don’t have a startup background themselves.”

“We really strive to break that status quo. By enabling anyone to build practical skills, develop their social capital, and get access to a community of bright minds across Africa, I’m hopeful that we can enable more individuals to move into VC full-time, and really bring up the ecosystem around them”, Mark added.

Dream VC has trained over 80 fellows through its flagship Investor Accelerator and Launch into Venture Capital Programs.

Both programs will run in Summer & Autumn. LIVC (3 months): June to Late August. Investor Accelerator (5 months): June to October.

Dream VC’s application is always highly competitive. Based on past data, and interviews with the founders, Dream VC has a less than 10% acceptance rate.
