To support the company’s upcoming phase of expansion, Zharta, the developer of a lending protocol for fast NFT collateralized loans, has raised a seed round of $4 million in new funding.
The business had initially received $300,000 from angel investors as part of an acceleration round.
Greenfield One, the lead investor, is followed by the institutional venture capital firms Shilling Capital and Possible Ventures, the two main participants in the Web3 industry, UniwhalesDao and SpaceShipDao, as well as Olisipo Way, Clever, and other influential business angels. The Cuatrecasas Law Firm provided assistance with this seed investment round.
Zharta will prioritize meeting customer expectations when allocating the increased cash, followed by R&D, sales, and marketing.
Accelerating market penetration and expanding rollouts are the objectives to enhance the immediate lending platform.
They will expand their 12-person staff by up to 20 new personnel to accomplish these objectives.
An essential component of NFT financialization is provided by Zharta. According to David An, Partner at Greenfield One, “We are thrilled to be able to support Zharta as lead investor in bringing this NFT use case to market as soon as possible.”
According to Possible Ventures Partner Simon Leicht: “We have high hopes for NFTs’ future and believe they will significantly alter the landscape of data platforms, scientific research, and climate technology.
Nuno and the Zharta team will likely make significant contributions to the NFT community as NFTs spread throughout society.
“As NFTs become more commonplace, we see Zharta’s work to unlock liquidity as an essential part of the NFT ecosystem.”
Collateralization is a crucial aspect of the infrastructure that has not yet been unlocked; this is where Zharta steps in with a solution that offers liquidity to collectors and the entire NFT market while enticing new players to join the ecosystem.
The following collections are currently eligible for collateralization: Mutant Ape Yacht Club, Doodles, Bored Ape Kennel Club, VeeFriends, World of Women, Cool Cats, Pudgy Penguins, and Hashmasks with additional collections being added in the near future.
The Zharta team received support in this funding round because the circumstances are ideal for developing protocols at the nexus of DeFi and NFTs.
