The Nigerian Genius brings together Nigeria’s brightest minds to solve Nigeria’s most complex engineering and manufacturing challenges.
The campus edition gathers the most innovative and skillful engineering students from various tertiary institutions to learn and deploy advanced engineering skills in building great solutions for Nigeria’s toughest problem.
Benefits of participation
- The winning team will receive a cash prize of 1 Million naira to further develop their solution
- Their school will be ranked as the overall best in engineering education
Criteria for application
- Applicants must be undergraduates in a Nigerian University or Polytechnic
- Applicants should be a team of 3 students with a complimentary set of skills such as CAD, CAM, Embedded Systems, Welding, Fabrication, PCB, etc.
NB: Female students are highly encouraged to apply.
Engineering students from the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) emerged winner of the 2022 edition, after making it to the finals alongside students from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), the Federal University of Technology Minna (FUTMINNA), Federal University Otuoke (FUOTUOKE)
The venue is at Clintonel Advanced Engineering Centre (AEC), Aba and the expected timeline for the competition is Sunday, June 18 to Monday, July 3, 2023. Accommodation and feeding will be provided during the stay.
