Have you head of keyloggers? Recently, someone contacted me about a case of unauthorized login into one of his accounts at his office and the guy could swear that his password was extremely difficult to guess. After a few questions, I concluded that it was likely a case of keyloggers, which was used to capture his login details.

Keystroke loggers or Keyloggers for short, is one of the simplest ways hackers use to steal anyone’s information because they capture every single thing typed on the keyboard. The hacker can just go back and after analyzing, would get all that he needs to login illegally. You can see that this is indeed a very dangerous program that you cannot allow on your system.

Well there is a free security tool out there that can scan your PC and tell you if you got keyloggers on your system or not. The program is called KL-Detector. It will act as a police on your system, monitoring for strange logs. If it discovers one, you are alerted and then you can take it up from there.

Key loggers are not something you can easily wish away. You need to dig deep and discover where they are buried. The funny and most dangerous thing is that a hacker does not have to be with you to install a keylogger on your system. All he needs is your IP address and can send it all the way from a city like Tokyo or Istanbul.

On a final note, let me state that one of the surest way of being safe, if you discover a keylogger, is to actually re-format your PC and do a fresh re-install.

I welcome you to try the free KL-Detector and let us have your comment here as to whether you discovered Keyloggers on your system or not. If you discovered Keyloggers on your system, have you tried to re-format your PC and do a fresh re-install? What was the result? Let us know here!
